In 1991, I stayed for several months as an intaglio printmaker at Limstone Press / Hine Editions, San Francisco. Beside working with graet artists as Bruce Conner, Richard Tuttle, James Brown and others who were invited by Hank Hine to create artist books at the workshop, I did my own project at the Graphic Arts Worshop, San Francisco. I made a series of more-coloured etchings in aquatint technique reflecting excerpts of the book America by Jean Baudrillard (1987). Back in Germany, I did lead typesetting, printing and binding all by myself at the facilities of the Folkwangschule / Universität Essen as a part of my design studies.
