In an interdisciplinary dialogue curators, music historians and composers discuss the music-related works and collaborative projects of Dieter Roth, placing them in the context of his whole oeuvre. Fluxus specialists Gabriele Knapstein and Sven Beckstette identify connections to Concrete Poetry, to the Vienna Group, to Fluxus and to artists’ music. The exhibition book includes a DVD with the first-ever publication of an excerpt from the video recording of the Abschöpfsymphonie of 1979.
